About Me

My photo
I enjoy taking pictures of places that look interesting to me. I also look for events that make an impact on the world as we see our lives change everyday. I believe planet earth is a very complex place and we will never discover its true meaning.

Disneyland!

The highlight of the trip took place at 11:30pm to 5:00am at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim California. There were 30,000 high school seniors there that night. When I walked down the streets that night there wasn't a time when I wasn't walking shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of other people. This reminded me a lot of a rave because of the funky lights and the techno music they played all night long. My feet were tired and I decided to leave with a few friends as we got aboard a bus full of Jesse Bethel students from Vallejo because their bus was departing for the same hotel that we were staying at. I probably got 4 hours of actually sleep in the two days that I was on my senior trip.

Magic Mountain

The first place we visited was Magic Mountain, on this day I only went on two attractions and that was The Ninja ride and then bumper cars. I wasn't really feeling the roller coasters that day so I just hung out with Scarface as we walked around. I don't like roller coasters that turn upside down so I decided to save myself. While I was here I got my caricature done, as well as Scarface whose turned out looking like a toad. Overall, this was a fun place to visit and I would definitely come back soon.

Universal Studios

This past weekend my senior class to our senior trip to Southern California where we went the Magic Mountain, Disneyland and Universal Studios. I had the most fun at Universal Studios because I went with a whole bunch of people in the Haunted House where we clowned around and pushed one another in the dark. We were all scared and the girls scratched just about everyone in the group because they were freaking out. I saw Chucky, Frankenstien, Leatherface, and many other horrific looking monsters that you see in the movies. This place was so much fun!

Senior Trip 2011

This Thursday the senior class is heading to LA to go to Magic Mountain, Disneyland and Universal studios. This is a 48 hour trip that allows for only 2 hours of "sleep" in a hotel. I plan on taking multiple 5 hour energy supplements so that I can make the best of my trip. On the bus ride there and back I think I'm going to sleep with one eye open so that no one writes on my face or plays a prank on me. This should be a very fun experience and I hope the weather is nice down south.

Prom part. 2

On May 14th, 2011 I took my girlfriend Deicy to my prom. This would be our second prom this year as we figured we should enjoy the time we have left together before I graduate. I had a lot of fun at the San Francisco zoo, but the only problem I had was the DJ; he kept playing the same music over and over again. Scott, weeman, Ricky and myself got into trouble because we decided to take of our shirts and wear our vests and ties on the dancefloor. Overall my senior prom was a blast and it was worth the time and money.

SD Bound

After I graduate from Calistoga High School I will be attending San Diego State University in the Fall of 2011. I will be doriming in the Cuic complex with my friend Ryan. I want to leave Calistoga already and explore what southern California has to offer. I am anticipating the next 4 years of my life and once I moved I know that my life will change forever. But before all of that happens I know that I need to do well in all of my classes and pass with flying colors.

"Justice has been done"

After a 10 year manhunt for Osama Bin Laden, he has been killed the the United States on May 1st 2011. He was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks on the US and he is the reason why Americans have become so paranoid nowadays. Airport security has tightened do to his actions and ever since his death people have felt that our job has been done. There will always be extremists who hate the United States and we must defend our nation any way possible to ensure homeland security.

La Guerra

These graves mark the deaths of the thousands of people who have lost their lives due to the drug cartels in Mexico. Clandestine graves are an all too common site in Juarez, Mexico. The city is gripped in a wave of violence as drug cartels battle each other and the federal authorities in the border town, which has lead to a more homicides this year. Monuments such as this one can be found in well-known areas where bodies are regularly dumped.

Kaws

Kaws is my favorite artist. He has chosen to draw X's over figures to make them his own style. He also works with the clothing company Original Fake to design tee-shirts. He has also collaborated with other companies such as Nike and Levi's. I first discovered his work on a shirt I bought at Huf Sf. One of his most famous pieces of work was done on Kanye West's album 808 Heartbreak, as Kaws designed the cover. I am excited to see what he has in store for any future projects.

Morimoto-Napa

My dad and I along with his friend went to Morimoto's in Napa. For those of you who don't know Morimoto he is one of the 3 Iron Chefs as he is known for his presentation of food. This place is very expensive and you'll find yourself with a very large tab by the end of the night with sushi ranging from $30-$150. My dad made his friend pay because he bet him that the Oakland Raiders would win a game and they did. This picture is of the bar at the restaurant and the entire set up of the bar is very appealing.

The Mat

This table mat is actually cool enough to blog about. I stayed the night at a Hilton in San Jose while I was visiting my brother at San Jose State. I found it very interesting because it reminded me a lot of an artificial football field but this felt more like rubber. I took this picture because I was bored and this mat looked really weird on the table so I had to take a picture. Sometimes you just have to take photos of strange things you may come across.

The City-Sf

On April 30th 2011, my girlfriend and I went to the Maria Carrillo prom in San Francisco and as we were on the bus ride there I snapped this photo of the sun setting behind the sky scrapers. Prom took place at AT&T park which is home of the World Series Champions-San Francisco Giants. This turned out to be a very fun night and I pretty much pulled an all nighter. I will be going to another prom at the San Francisco Zoo in about two more weeks.

Griffith

The Griffith Observatory is one of the coolest places you can ever go in LA. You can use the telescope to see planets that are light years away, not to mention the fantastic views from the Hollywood Hills, you are able to see the entire city and much more from the edge of the Observatory. At night time you can see the glow of light illuminating from the entire spectrum of land in front of you. I took the photo on the bottom.

UNDFTD. II/II

Undefeated in Los Angeles is also one of my favorite/most visited stores on La Brea. Here you can find just about any shoe you desire. They carry, limited edition Nikes, Jordans, Pumas and many others that you can't find anywhere else. I like shopping for shoes here because no one else usually gets there shoes here and its nice to always have something that not a lot of people have. I've spent way too much money here.

Venice Beach, Ca

Last spring break my family and I took a trip down to Southern California to Santa Monica and Venice. While we were there we explored the beachfront strip of vendors and entertainers. Venice beach reminds me of the Haight/Ashbury streets in San Francisco. On this same day there was an earthquake in MexiCali and it had traveled all the way to the LA area and we felt it as our hotel swayed back and forth

Brids Eye View

I took this photo from my flight from Ontario back to Sacramento. If you look into the distance you are able to see the city of Los Angeles although it does not look that big, this photo is taken at 36,000 ft above the ground. The smog layer is also seen very clearly from this height. You are also able to see the ocean in the far distance. The flight from Ontario back to northern California only takes a little over an hour.

U of R

Last weekend I took a visit to The University of Redlands in Southern California. I flew to Ontario International Airport and drove 30 minutes to Redlands. I also attended the Admitted Students day at the University and took a tour of the campus. For those of you who don't know where Redlands is; it is located about 50 minutes east of Los Angeles and near the city of San Bernardino. My two college choices have come down to the U of R or San Diego State University.

JC-LA

Johnny Cupcakes in Los Angeles is probably the most unique store you can ever walk in to. When I first stepped foot into the shop with my parents, they thought I was going to go buy edible cupcakes. It looks like a bakery because of the ovens and refrigerators along with the stove top counters. Johnny cupcakes is one of my favorite street wear brands as Johnny likes to keep his clothing super limited and only sells the garments at his shops in Boston and LA. You can read Johnny's story here:

Snow!

For people who live in Calistoga; well they don't seem to see snow too often, so I decided to take a few friends up to the snow on Mt. St. Helena. We went down hills of snow on sleds as we crashed into the trees below. I have never seen this much snow in my life so it was a fun experience for me. That day we also created a 500lb snowball that was as tall as me. I would like to go to the snow sometime soon, because I never get to experience snow like I did here.

N. FairFax Ave. Los Angeles, CA

This photo was taken while I was walking down FairFax Ave. in Los Angeles. On this street you can find Huf LA, Fight Club Los Angeles, Supreme, Diamond Supply Co. and other boutique stores that I like to visit while I'm in the area. This photo is taken across the street from The Hundreds store on Rosewood Ave. It is one of my favorites, because I like the way the artist displayed his work on one of my most frequently visited streets in LA.

Z&G!

Zion I and the Grouch performed at the Filmore in San Francisco on March 18th. I went with smurf,Crystian M, Will S and my brother Justin. It was a sick concert as people were going crazy and passing out on the dancefloor. You never know what you can see in SF but that night was full of night prowlers. After the concert we went back to SF State and watched Tropic Thunder. Pretty soon I would like to go back to the City and see another concert.

Union Square SF

Union Square in San Francisco.
A view from the top of Macy's at the Cheesecake Factory. You are able to see Nike Town, Saks Fifth Avenue and The Levi's Store. For some reason my debit card has always taken a beating every time I step foot in the City. I went here with smurf, santi and deicy and we enjoyed the night in the city for Deicy's 17th birthday. It was a very eventful night and we had a blast cruising downt he SF streets, bumping some beats in my car.

The Res

AVE, INDIGO, SPIDER SAM AND MYSELF AT THE RESERVOIR. Sam thought he could conquer the world that day as he tried to climb the tallest mountains in the world with indigo. As you can see many people have tagged the dam that creates a barrier for the reservoir. The cops came that day and said we had to leave because we were getting in the way of St. Helenas drinking water. I seem to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I should watch out who I hangout with!

Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach in San Francisco on March 20th 2011. That Day Smurf, Crystian, Will and my brother and I walked the beach as we enjoyed the radiation from the spill off the coast of Japan. The air was fresh and the wind was cold but that didn't stop us from enjoying a sunny day in San Francisco as many were complaining about the rain in Calistoga. The view from this beach is amazing as you have a fantastic view of the coast and the Pacific Ocean.
